Overview
Mimecast is an AI-first company, and AI Experiences is the platform team behind capabilities embedded across our product portfolio. As a Product Manager II, you'll own outcomes for AI platform capabilities, working with engineering, design, AI product leadership, and go-to-market to ship products that help customers and move the business. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with ownership of real product surface area and close exposure to platform strategy.
You'll report to the Director - Product Management.
What You'll Do
- Own execution for one or more AI platform capabilities used across Mimecast's product portfolio.
- Define the metric each capability is meant to move, measure its performance, and use what you learn to decide what to build next.
- Write clear specs and build prototypes that make ambiguous problems buildable.
- Partner with engineering to sequence work, find bottlenecks, and make data-backed calls.
- Work with design to shape flows and pressure-test concepts with customers and internal teams.
- Support go-to-market by enabling the field, writing release notes, and closing the loop on feedback.
What You'll Bring
- A focus on outcomes over output: you start with the problem solved, not the number of features shipped.
- Initiative to find what's next and challenge how things have always been done.
- Experience using AI tooling to move faster in your work.
- Product management experience, including internships; SaaS or security/compliance experience is helpful.
- Experience shipping features involving AI/ML, LLM-based tooling, or data-heavy products.
- Writing that turns a fuzzy problem into a spec engineers can build from.
- Comfort using data to define metrics, evaluate performance, and prioritize.
The base salary range for this position is 124,000 - 186,000 USD plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
