About Mimecast

The work people build is worth protecting, and it's harder to protect than it used to be. AI agents now move at machine speed with human-level access, and a small slip-up can become a very public one. We disrupt cybercriminal activity before that happens. We think fast, go big, and always demand more of ourselves. We work hard, deliver, and repeat. We grow with real determination and put success well within reach. We push each other to be better and expect to be pushed back, in a community built on respect, where everyone is counted. Work Protected.

Overview

As Senior Manager, Design, you'll lead hands-on design execution that drives engagement, builds market interest, and supports Mimecast's demand generation engine. This is an execution role with taste: you'll create and direct work that earns the attention of sophisticated B2B enterprise buyers, including CISOs, CIOs, and security decision-makers.

Reporting to the Director of Brand within the design function, you'll partner with Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, Field Marketing, and Sales Enablement. You'll set the creative standard across paid media, campaigns, events, digital, and sales materials, directing in-house designers, external agencies, and AI-assisted workflows to deliver at speed without sacrificing quality.

You'll build relationships proactively, using design to build trust and make the brand accessible to the teams who rely on it. In your first year, success means visually consistent, strategically coherent campaigns that earn engagement; efficient agency relationships with fewer revision cycles; and AI-enabled workflows that accelerate output while maintaining a clear visual quality bar.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design execution across go-to-market campaigns, including paid digital and social advertising, email, landing pages, events, and sales enablement materials.
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Marketing Operations to build creative for engagement, tailoring executions to campaign goals, audiences, and channels.
  • Translate campaign briefs and messaging frameworks into visual work that resonates with enterprise security and technology buyers and drives measurable interest.
  • Set and uphold the visual quality bar across concurrent campaigns, balancing brand consistency with campaign-level flexibility.
  • Direct internal designers, external agencies, and production vendors with clear, constructive feedback; review and approve digital advertising, social, presentations, event materials, video, print, and AI-generated assets.
  • Use AI generation tools as part of the creative process, prompting precisely, evaluating output critically, and integrating generated assets into a coherent visual system.
  • Establish design standards and guardrails for AI-generated content pipelines, and bring relevant new AI capabilities into the team's practice.
  • Manage day-to-day agency and production partner relationships against timeline, budget, and quality expectations; support the Director of Brand in scoping work and evaluating deliverables against GTM objectives.
  • Work as an embedded creative partner to Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, Field Marketing, and Sales Enablement, engaging stakeholders before creative begins to understand their goals and channel requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Design experience at a level that enables you to independently lead complex, concurrent GTM, demand generation, or integrated marketing creative workstreams, set creative direction, and maintain quality across internal and external contributors.
  • A demonstrated track record of producing design that drives engagement in a B2B enterprise environment, with an understanding of how security and technology buyers think and what earns their attention. Enterprise technology experience is an advantage.
  • Deep expertise in digital design across paid media, social, email, landing pages, presentations, and event materials, with the ability to direct video work.
  • Strong typographic and compositional judgment applied to performance-oriented creative, and the ability to balance brand consistency with campaign flexibility.
  • Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with Figma.
  • Hands-on experience using AI generation tools in professional design, including constructing prompts for on-brand, market-ready output and critically evaluating assets before integrating them into a visual system.
  • A considered approach to integrating AI generation into high-volume GTM creative workflows without losing quality or consistency.
  • Experience directing agency and freelance partners, and giving clear, constructive creative feedback to junior designers, partners, and stakeholders who are not designers.
  • The ability to present creative rationale to senior stakeholders, defend decisions with confidence, and articulate a visual quality standard that others can apply.
  • The organization and proactive communication needed to manage multiple active campaigns, with a focus on engagement and interest rather than aesthetic awards.
